Learnings from India: Vermicomposting Enterprises for Rural Women

Similar to our efforts in Guatemala, India, since 1996 has had great results with vermicomposting and rural women. With objectives like: “mitigate the ill effects of farming intensification and use of inorganic fertilizers and pesticides” and a teaching method on “organic wastes, and vermicomposting, the training programme covers topics on marketing, product and pricing, differences with chemical fertilizers and farm yard manure, cost effectiveness, and many more”
From one part to the world to another; we once again sustain that the activity is “economically viable innovative technology to manage the organic waste resources on low capital input basis” source: http://www.dainet.org/livelihoods/0998k.htm<a
